Dr. Han Wang joins the Department of Electrical Engineering & Computer Science at University of Kansas as an Assistant Professor from the Fall 2023. Han Wang received the Ph.D degree from the Department of Computer Science at Illinois Institute of Technology, advised by Dr. Yuan Hong. She got her M.Sc. degree in Software Engineering from Huazhong University of Science and Technology, China. Her research focuses on security and privacy (e.g., differential privacy, local differential privacy, secure multiparty computation, and applied cryptography), as well as trustworthy machine learning (e.g., attack, robustness, privacy, and fairness). She has published numerous research results in top security and data science conferences and journals, such as S&P/Oakland, CCS, KDD, PETS, ICDE, EDBT, ICDCS, TDSC and TKDE.

I am looking for self-motivated Ph.D. students (2 RA positions), self-funded intern and visiting scholars/students, and undergraduate researchers with strong mathematical and programming skills to work with me on Data Privacy (e.g. Differential Privacy), Cybersecurity (e.g. secure multi-party computations), Adversarial Machine Learning, and IoT projects.
